Cartooning in Conflict
The world's leading cartoonists have created new work for a special exhibition organised by Palestinian-Israeli charity group, The Parents Circle - Families Forum. A selection of fifty of these works will be shown at the St Martin-in-the-Fields Crypt gallery, 11-25 January 2010.
PCFF is a community of Israelis and Palestinians who have lost close family members as a result of violence in the region. PCFF works to build trust and empathy in the hope of reconciliation, rather than hatred and revenge. The cartoons are varied and individual, visually exciting, clever and often poignant, drawn by an international group of artists including Palestinian Baha Boukari, Israeli Michel Kichka, Americans Jeff Danziger and Jim Morin and French artist Plantu.
