Glasstress: White Light White Heat
TS&P won the pitch to handle PR for this third in the series of Glasstress exhibitions, a highlight of the Venice Art Biennale collateral programme.
This year saw a unique approach to the exhibition, with London College of Fashion bringing a fashion influence to bear on the programme. Fashion designers such as Hussein Chalayan and Helen Storey joined a roll call of celebrated contemporary artists, including Ron Arad, Mat Collishaw, Tracey Emin, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, Tim Noble & Sue Webster, Cornelia Parker, Conrad Shawcross, Joanna Vasconcelos, Miroslaw Balka and Cai Guo Quiang to create work in glass in the Berengo Studio (Murano, Venice).
Most of the 65 artists commissioned for the show are working in glass for the first time. The exhibition is co-curated by Adriano Berengo and James Putnam and after its installation in Venice (where it is showing at the Palazzo Franchetti near the Academia and at the Berengo Studio spaces in Murano) a selection of works will travel to London to be shown in the London College of Fashion's exhibition space and at the Wallace Collection.
Project partners: Berengo Studio (Venice), Venice Projects (Venice), London College of Fashion and the Wallace Collection (London)
