Thomas Williams Fine Art
Thomas Williams Fine Art has been showing contemporary art from their Bond Street gallery for almost ten years, with the core of the business being in Old Master drawings. The emphasis is on figurative art and it was Williams’ own passion for contemporary art and a desire to give a central London platform to emerging figurative artists that drove him to set up the space.
TSP was approached to promote the solo exhibition of new work by painter Alessandro Raho in October 2008 and a retrospective of the cartoons and paintings of Private Eye cartoonist Barry Fantoni, Private Eye-Public Eye that opens April 2009.
Alessandro Raho: the first exhibition for three years from this British artist comprised compelling, almost life-sized realist portraits of his loved ones.
Barry Fantoni: the retrospective exhibition, ‘Private Eye-Public Eye’, features original cartoons published in Private Eye, The Radio Times and other publications throughout Fantoni’s career alongside paintings that date from his attendance at Camberwell College of Art to the present day. Many are shown for the first time.
